What was shaping up to be a potentially good movie, takes a bit of a wrong turn halfway through and ends up rather mind numbing; ironically seeming to be giving the OK (or at least a degree of understanding) to the Malleus Maleficarum type behaviour of the 14th-15th Centuries!
This is unfortunately ANOTHER case of a film that, at least in my opinion, reviewed better than it should have been... Perhaps the reviewers were distracted by (yet again) the brilliant locations or the good cinemaphotography, but Sean Bean (Ulric) was rather predictable, Ed Redmayne (Osmund) was not beleivable and the reported 'suspense', was not really there.
Yet another that I can tick off as having seen, before quite happily moving on...
